The CENABIO Ultrasound Platform, located on the ground floor of the UIPA building, is composed of a high-resolution equipment, the Vevo 2100, manufactured by Visual Sonics©. This equipment has a highly specialized configuration for acquiring images of small structures, allowing the execution of the most diverse projects in small animals. The equipment has 3 transducers (13-24MHz, 18-38Mhz and 22-55Mhz), with image acquisition in B-Mode (Brightness Mode), Motion Mode )M-Mode) and Color Doppler. For cardiac analysis, the Wall Motion Cardiac Mobility (Strain) assessment package is also available.
In addition to these packages, our platform has a system of mechanical arms that allows US-guided injection, where the ultrasound image is used as a resource for identifying target organs and subsequent injection of drugs/cells/other molecules of interest.
