In Vivo Bioluminescence and Fluorescence Imaging

The multi-user Platform for In Vivo Bioluminescence and Fluorescence Imaging, located on the ground floor of the UIPA building, has a specialized equipment for imaging small animals, IVIS® Lumina (In Vivo Imaging System, Perkin Elmer USA), enabled for the acquisition and quantification of two-dimensional images, both luminescent and fluorescent, for which it has a set of 400nm filters at 900nm. Thus allowing the monitoring of the path of pathogens or cells when injected into whole animals, in addition to monitoring the intensity or viability longitudinally.
