In Vivo Bioluminescence and Fluorescence Imaging

The Multi-User In Vivo Tracking Platform by Bioluminescence and Fluorescence, located on the ground floor of the UIPA building, has two devices specialized in imaging small animals, the IVIS™ Lumina Series II (In Vivo Imaging System, Perkin Elmer USA) and the IVIS™ Lumina XRMS (X-Ray Multi-species optical imaging System, Perkin Elmer USA). Both are capable of acquiring and quantifying luminescent and fluorescent images, thus allowing the path of pathogens or cells to be monitored when injected into whole animals, in addition to monitoring their intensity or viability longitudinally.
