Zeiss Laser TIRF 3

Technical specifications:

The Total Internal Reflection Microscope (TIRF) exploits the properties of evanescent waves in a limited specimen region immediately adjacent to the interface between two media having different refractive indices. In practice, it allows elimination of background fluorescence from outside the focal plane, improving the signal-to-noise ratio and resolution of the features or events of interest. Objective lens: EC Plan-Neofluar 10x/0.3 Ph1, EC Plan-Neofluar 40x/0.75 Ph2 and Alpha Plan-Apochromat 100x/1.46/DIC. Cell incubation system including temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide concentration control; and focus stabilization system (Definite Focus). Such characteristics allow the performance of long-term live cell imaging experiments. Fluorescence filter sets: Alexa Fluor 488 (BP 488/10 / FT 500 / BP 525/50), Alexa Fluor 532 (BP 514/10 / FT 540 / BP 575/50) and two triple filter sets (TBP 406 + 489 + 561 / TFT 427 + 503 + 578 / TBP 459 + 525 + 608) and (TBP 483 + 564 + 642 / TFT 506 + 582 + 659 / TBP 526 + 601 + 688). HXP 120W light source for wide-field fluorescence microscopy type and 405 nm, 488 nm, 532 nm, 561 nm, and 639 nm laser lines for TIRF applications.
