Nuclear Magnetic Resonance of Small Animals

The Small Animal Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Platform, located on the ground floor of the UIPA building, has the equipment7 Tesla (T) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine Varian/Agilent equipped with a high-performance gradient system that allows the establishment high-resolution anatomical images acquisition protocols of small animals. Its main applications are related to cardiac, abdominal or nervous system morphology and function, also allowing
the performance of angiographic studies, in addition to enabling the characterization of anatomical and functional biomarkers of various pathologies.
