In March 2023, CENABIO proudly held its 1st Basic Training on Biosafety and Fire Safety, an event that highlighted the importance of safety in a Multi-Use Research Center environment.
During the training, participants had the opportunity to learn about essential biosafety standards and practices, including the safe handling of biological materials and accident prevention in the laboratory. The fire safety session equipped the team to identify risks, properly use safety equipment, and carry out evacuation procedures. The broad participation of faculty, staff, students, and collaborators demonstrated the community’s commitment to safety.
All participants received certificates, reinforcing the value of the knowledge gained. This training not only enhanced the skills of those involved but also strengthened the safety culture at CENABIO, preparing our community to handle challenges with confidence.
