CENABIO/UFRJ has two collegiate bodies: the Management Board and the Board of Directors.
The Management Council is made up of the director (who chairs it), the vice-director (possible replacement), the assistant directors of administration and teaching, research and extension, the directors of the 3 Units that make up CENABIO/UFRJ (Structural Biology of Macromolecules, Small Animal Imaging, Advanced Microscopy), 3 representatives of the users of each Unit, 1 representative of the technical-administrative staff and 1 student representing the graduate students. Frequently, guests participate in the analysis of specific themes.
The board is made up of the director, vice-director, the deputy directors and the directors of the 3 Units. The Management Board meets monthly, with extraordinary sessions when necessary. The board considers itself in permanent meeting. The forms of consultation with the small social body are continued. Special mention should be made of the Scientific-Social Plenary Meetings that bring together the entire institutional body of CENABIO/UFRJ, open to users. These meetings combine special or festive calendar dates with important events related to academic activities and are guided by their achievements. The strategic objectives, their goals and their actions are periodically monitored and evaluated in special meetings of the collegiate bodies described above and in planning meetings.
