Professional Postgraduate Program in Bioimaging and Biostructure Technologies (PPGP-TBB)

The Professional Postgraduate Program in Bioimaging and Biostructure Technologies (PPGP-TBB) results from the joint effort of several units of the Health Sciences Center (CCS) at UFRJ, offering both master’s and doctorate degrees. The proposing units are: National Center for Structural Biology and Bioimaging (CENABIO), Institute of Biophysics Carlos Chagas Filho (IBCCF), Institute of Medical Biochemistry Leopoldo De Meis (IBqM), Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICB), Institute of Microbiology Paulo de Góes (IMPG), Faculty of Pharmacy (FF), and it is strongly supported by the Brazilian Society of Microscopy and Microanalysis.
This program aims at training professionals in the thematic area of Bioimaging and Biostructure, taking advantage of the investment in scientific instrumentation in the area, already by the Brazilian Government. This initiative has the potential to bring academia closer to the productive sector in order to jointly formulate technological projects and induce the potential formation of startups or spinoffs. Additionally, the initiative may boost entrepreneurship conducted by InovaCCS.
