The Social Body of CENABIO/UFRJ adheres to and is committed to practices and postures of respect for academic freedom, with strict observance of the principles that guide ethics and integrity in research and adherence to norms that guarantee the confidentiality of the results of its users.

Students

CENABIO/UFRJ develops an intense activity at the undergraduate level, participating transversally in the Integrated Curricular Programs, and at the postgraduate level, offering its multi-user structure for the development of theoretical and practical activities under the responsibility of the professors and technologists that make up its social body. Dozens of graduate programs across the country find at CENABIO/UFRJ the space and atmosphere for the development of dissertations, theses and postdoctoral projects. Scientific initiation interns, graduates from the most diverse careers, carry out experiments in their respective projects at CENABIO/UFRJ.

Faculty

The central nucleus of the faculty of CENABIO/UFRJ is made up of the members of its board, the members of the Management Council, representatives of the 3 Units and their coordinators (directors), one professor based at CENABIO/UFRJ and the others with primary affiliation in other UFRJ units. CENABIO/UFRJ seeks to expand its faculty to cover the fields of knowledge cultivated in the 3 Units and their mutual interfaces. Since its foundation, CENABIO/UFRJ has on its faculty Professor Kurt Wüthrich, Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2002, collaborating researcher and member of INBEB.

Administrative and Technical Personnel

The administrative segment of the Social Body of CENABIO/UFRJ is characterized due to its small size, associated with a polished training and performance professional.


The Management Support and Relations Institutional Section – SADRI was recently created, whose scope is to efficiently instrumentalize the demands of administrative nature of CENABIO. The leadership of SADRI is performed by a server with training in the field of law, duly qualified in the Order of Advogados do Brasil (OAB-RJ), with specialization in the areas of Civil Law and Civil Procedure and with extensive experience in the area of ​​Public Law. The SADR team is composed of an Executive Secretary, Bachelor of Letters: Language and Literature Italian, with specialization in Finance Management; an assistant in administration with a degree in Technology and Financial Management and an Assistant in Administration degree in Biological Sciences and Administration, with a specialization in People and Finance.


CENABIO’s Financial Sector is headed by an Accountant, with
Master in Education, Management and Dissemination in Biosciences, with intense performance in the area rendering of accounts to state, federal and international development agencies, in addition to expertise in importing live transgenic animals for research.
